School of Advanced Skills, KIIT

The Government of India at present is emphasizing on Digital India, Make in India and Skill India. The said objectives of Govt. of India will only be accomplished with skill, scale and speed. So vocational training in basic as well as advanced skills will gain momentum in the coming days. Therefore we aim at making “KIIT School of Advanced Skills” visible before that.
Under the umbrella of the school, the following schools are working on Basic and Advanced Skill Development Programmes.

Message From Founder

The country is poised at a moment in history when a much brighter future for its entire people is within its reach. Skill development will help actualize this potential. Development and articulation of a national policy on skill development is a matter of priority.
Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development for any country. Countries with higher and better levels of skills adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities of world of work.
As the proportion of working age group of 15-59 years will be increasing steadily, India has the advantage of “demographic dividend”. Harnessing the demographic dividend through appropriate skill development efforts would provide an opportunity to achieve inclusion and productivity within the country and also a reduction in the global skill shortages. Large scale skill development is thus an imminent imperative.
Since KIIT and KISS are in the job of producing professionals since more than two decades, it is high time to come forward for participating very effectively in Skilling India and driving for Make in India. Academics merged with skill training will enhance employability skills of the students of the University and beyond.
